“Bride’s Well”



The frame is stained and shellaced basswood, made from waned and knotty boards. The top and bottom sections have been butt joined to add knots and wanes. When Kim commissions a frame, often the painting isn't finished, nor do we always have a frame "design" finished. This grew, like the wood, quite organically. Basswood, stain, shellac.
