This frame, named after the Chicago painter, Archibald J. Motley, Jr. is based on an original frame seen on a Motley painting. Very loosely based. The original had a cove at the painting edge, and texture on the smooth, flat areas. I like the contrast between smooth and texture, and the textured quarter round area at the painting edge.
